Andrew R. Lezynski, 30, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 5, 2016, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born on April 23, 1986, he was the son of Kristin J. (Arnold) Roderick and Robert S. Lezynski.
He was also the brother of the late Matthew W. Lezynski.
A resident of Houston, Texas for the past six years, Andrew returned home to Gloucester on Mother's Day weekend. He had a passion for luxury cars and custom designed motorcycles, and along with friend, Jonathan Nu, he co-owned and operated Redline Performance Motorworx.
Two of Andrew's greatest strengths were his resilience and his ability to empathize with others. He also had a talent for writing, and he dreamed of traveling the world and sharing his story with others. Quick to smile, he was kind, loving, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Andrew is survived by two sisters, Haley Lezynski and Leah Perry; a brother, Devon Ilges; a nephew, Caleb Chen; maternal grandmother, Nancy Arnold; paternal grandparents, Ellen and Arthur Perry, Jr.; aunts and uncles, Maryellen and Edward Gigliotti, Michael Lezynski, N. Scott MacFarland, Cynthia and Raymond Mackey, Kenneth and Carolyn Arnold, Julie and John Nicastro, John Arnold, Jr., and Rachael Arnold. He also leaves behind 19 first cousins; numerous great-aunts and great-uncles; scores of friends, both locally and across the country; as well as his much loved canine companion, Bruizah. In addition to his brother, Matt, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John A. Arnold; paternal grandfather, C. Stanley Lezynski, Jr.; his aunt, Kendra L. MacFarland; uncle, Joseph Lezynski; and stepfather, James "Jamie" Roderick, Sr.
Andrew's funeral service will be held on Friday morning, August 12, 2016, in the Community Church of East Gloucester at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
