Anthony Polsonetti, Sr., of Gloucester, formerly Winthrop and East Boston, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017.
He was the former proprietor of Tony's produce.
He was the beloved husband of Joan (Quilty) Polsonetti; devoted father of Evelyn "Snooky" Young and husband, Michael Bunick of Revere, Joseph Polsonetti and Anthony Polsonetti Jr., both of Gloucester, James Polsonetti of Winthrop, Joanie Kirby and husband, Stephen of Revere; cherished step-father of Kim Luna and husband, Joseph of Gloucester; longtime companion of Marion Mackay of Gloucester; dear brother of Dolores Miller, Norma Falanga, and the late Augustino "Hot Gus," Milio, Gino, Frank "Dutchie," and Salvy Polsonetti, and Letteria "Lea" Colangelo.
Also lovingly survived by his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Anthony's life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Friday, September 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 9:50 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church Winthrop for a funeral Mass in honor of Anthony at 10 a.m.
Services will conclude with Anthony being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
