Arlene E. (Quadros) Grammy Cecilio Gloucester - Mrs. Arlene E. (Quadros) “Grammy” Cecilio, 92, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Gloucester Healthcare with her family at her side. She is the wife of the late Joseph C. Cecilio.
Arlene was born October 24, 1926 in Gloucester, she is the daughter of the late Alvaro P. and Angelina (Sears) Quadros. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of St. Ann’s High School.
She worked on the Gloucester Waterfront for O’Donell – Usen Fisheries as a packer for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Voyage Church where she was also a member of the Guild and was active with the Church Fairs. Family was everything to Grammy she treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting family dinners. She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing Bingo and was also a volunteer at NeedyMeds.
She is survived by her children Joseph Cecilio and his wife Jean of Beverly, Diane Pallazola and her husband Robert of Cape Coral, FL, Jo-Ann Cecilio and her husband John Nixon of Gloucester, her daughter-in-law Allison Cecilio of Gloucester. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including Carolann Quadros.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arlene was predeceased by her son John F. Cecilio, her daughter Arlene Muise, her brother, Arnold Quadros, her sisters Kay Silva and Elizabeth Perry.
Arlene’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect St. Gloucester on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 12 noon. Her visitation will be on Monday prior to Mass in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St. Gloucester from 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
