Barbara L. Noble

Gloucester - Mrs. Barbara L. Noble, 92, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, in Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Edmund P. Noble.
Barbara was born September 25, 1926, in Gloucester. She is the daughter of the late John and Hilda Goss. Barbara graduated from Gloucester High School and was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.
She worked as a hostess at the Gloucester House Restaurant for many years until her retirement. In her retirement she worked at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Barbara enjoyed watching her grandchildren play football. She was a dedicated Patriots Fan.
She is survived by her two sons, Edmund P. “Pete” Noble Jr. and his wife Faye of Gloucester, and David J. Noble and his wife Q-Ling of Virginia; her two grandsons, Peter C. Noble and his wife Dawn, and Derek J. Noble and his wife Viviana; her three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Madelyn, and Eliza Noble. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Barbara is predeceased by one brother and five sisters.
Barbara’s graveside service will be on Thursday, October 11, 2018, in Locust Grove Cemetery, Washington St., Rockport, at 1 p.m. Immediately following graveside services there will be a celebration of Barbara’s life at the Gloucester House restaurant, 63 Rogers St., Gloucester, from 2 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. I knew and loved Barbara during my time working for Captain Courageous.
She had a beautiful smile and a wonderful laugh.
