Barbara A. Sawler Gloucester - Barbara A. Sawler, 81, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, in Care One at Essex Park with her family by her side.
Barbara was born July 15, 1937, in Gloucester, she is the daughter of the late Frances R. Silva. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and attended Gloucester High School.
Barbara worked on the line at Gorton’s for many years until her retirement.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who treasured the time she spent with her family. She also enjoyed knitting.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Kathleen M. Vitagliano and her husband Robert of East Haven, Conn., and Sandra A. Sawler of California; her treasured two grandchildren, Sara Vitagliano and Marisa Pistenmaa; her great-grandchild Jordin Pistenmaa; as well as her nieces Cheryl Silva and Pamela Silva; and her nephew Mark Silva.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother Robert E. Silva.

In honoring with Barbara’s wishes funeral services and burial will be held privately. Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. For online condolences and register book, please visit www.pikenewhall.com.
