GLOUCESTER, MA - Mr. Carl R. Overberg, 72, of Gloucester, passed away on January 20, 2018, in Beverly Hospital after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Danielle (Patrican) Overberg, with whom he shared six years of marriage.
Carl was born March 11, 1945, in Beverly. He was the son of the late Raymond and Ester (MacKenzie) Overberg. He was a resident of Gloucester for many years, and previously resided in Beverly. He was a graduate of Beverly High School, and attended Ohio State College.
Carl worked for Stop & Shop as a seafood cerk for several years. He previously worked as a machinist for Wilbur-Tracey Associates, Inc.
Carl will be remembered as a great guy with a good sense of humor. He was also a member of Local UFCW 1445.
In addition to his loving wife Danielle, Carl is survived by his son, Steven Overberg, of Danvers; his daughter, Kellie Overberg. His two brothers, Gunnar Overberg, and Dana Overberg, both of Beverly; one sister, Cindy Overberg, of Beverly. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Kristen and Kelly Frazier, of S.C., and a step-son, Kevin Frazier, of Gloucester.
In addition to his parents, Carl is predeceased by his brother, Keith Overberg.
