Text size

Carlo Cusenza, 75, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2016 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was the cherished husband to Maria (Ales) Cusenza with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Carlo was born September 23, 1941 in Terrasini, Italy, son of the late Pietro and Girolama (Pallazzola) Cusenza.
He served with the Marines in Italy.
As a young boy he sold fish in Terrasini for many years before leaving Italy in 1964 and migrated to Canada where he was a Fish Dealer and owned many Fish Markets. Carlo would travel from Canada to the United States selling fish for many years until 1989 when he came to the United States and resided in Gloucester. This new home reminded him of Terrasini. He became a Commercial Fisherman and worked on the Gloucester Waterfront for many years until retiring to help his sons run their Italian Restaurant Business.
Carlo was a loving man who adored his family. He was so proud of them all. He enjoyed the family dinners and all the time they spent together. He was a very handsome dresser who also loved cars, working in the garden and playing cards. He was so proud to call Gloucester his home.
