Carol A.'s Story
Mrs. Carol A. (Guarrasi) Parisi, 69, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017 with her daughter at her side.
Carol was born October 24, 1947 in Gloucester. She was the daughter of Julia (Ciulla) Guarrasi of Gloucester and the late Nicholas Guarrasi. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School. Carol also attended Mansfield Beauty Academy.
Upon completion of Mansfield Beauty Academy Carol worked as a Stylist at Sammy’s Hair Salon after staying home to raise her children. She later worked for the Gloucester School System in the Cafeteria until her retirement.
Carol’s biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Booba." She also enjoyed playing bingo at St. Ann’s Church, shopping, going to casinos, Sunday dinners with her family. She had many talents sewing, was a great cook, a cake decorator and candy maker.
In addition to her mom, Julia, Carol is survived by her daughter, Nikki Parisi of Gloucester; her sons, Anthony Parisi of Beverly and Peter Parisi of California. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Julianna Lucido, Vanessa Lucido and Chloe Parisi; her brother, Anthony Guarrasi and her sister, Rosemarie Guarrasi as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Jack Parisi and her loving grandmother, Rose Ciulla.
Carol’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Prospect St., Gloucester, Mass. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester on Thursday (today), July 20, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
