Carol E.'s Story
Carol E. (Johnson) Cecilio, 79, wife of the late Christopher A. Cecilio, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 11, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House.
Born in Gloucester on October 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Cora (Moore) Johnson.
Carol was a graduate of Gloucester High School. For many years, Carol worked as the manager of Foster’s Minimart.
Carol had served as President of the North Shore Chapter for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and was also the former Recording Secretary for ARC.
Carol was a fun loving, wonderful lady who possessed a great big heart. She worked hard raising her family and adored her daughters and grandchildren.
Carol had a many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, painting, building floats for parades but is best known for her cake decorating ability as she made many wedding, birthday and special occasion cakes.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kim Cecilio, Cathy Fulford and husband Christopher, Susan Cecilio; grandchildren, Ashley and Nicole Wonson, Megan and Brooke Leach; her godson, Robert Spanks and wife Annette; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Chris, she was predeceased by her son, Christopher Cecilio II; her brothers, Aubrey and Robert Johnson.
Her funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Tuesday, April 18th at 9:30 a.m.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
