Catherine F.'s Story
Catherine F. Dussourd, 85, of Gloucester, wife of the late Henry Dussourd, passed away in the Golden Living Center in Gloucester on Thursday evening, July 13, 2017. Catherine was born in Swampscott, on August 21, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (McCormick) Boland. She was a very quiet and private person who enjoyed card games with friends, scrabble and word games. She enjoyed puzzles, painting in oils and absolutely loooved her Red Sox, who she would watch from her chair with her Red Sox cap on and team cup in hand. But whatever you did, you only spoke to her during the commercials! She will be missed by her family very much. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Gilliss and her companion, Ron Mountain, five grandsons, Stephen, Jamie, Jason and Christopher Gilliss; Kyle Dussourd; one granddaughter, Stephanie Dussourd; 12 great-grandchildren, a sister, Marietta Dussourd and a brother, Jack Boland. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen Dussourd, granddaughter, Kerry Gilliss and a sister, Margie Gallant.
Her visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 10 to 12 noon. Family and friends are cordially invited. A graveside service will follow immediately at 12:30 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. A gathering will follow the burial service.
