Dennis E. Chinault Gloucester, MA - Dennis E. Chinault, 54, of Gloucester, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on January 8, 2019. He was the husband of Louise (Burbridge) Chinault and father of Michael, Katelyn and Dennis, II. He was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Moses and Edna (Cooper) Chinault. Dennis attended Stafford High School and graduated in 1982. After graduation, he worked for Stafford Insulation for eighteen years.

In July of 1995, he met the love his life, Louise. Dennis and Louise were married on October 28, 1998, having recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary together. In 2003 the family moved from Fredericksburg to Gloucester. Dennis began his career as a construction worker and had worked in a supervisory position for several years during his career. Most recently, he worked for Geoffrey H. Richon Company. He was a hard worker, many times working multiple jobs to make ends meet.

Besides work, Dennis loved camping in the White Mountains. He also enjoyed cooking, often times trying a recipe that he saw on a cooking show. He also enjoyed card games with family, darts, playing pool and cornhole. Dennis was a true country boy who loved his truck, his dog and country music. He was a man of few words, but his heart did all the talking for him. He was always there to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back to anybody. He was a jokester with a great sense of humor.

A selfless man who didn’t need much to make him happy, he devoted himself to his family. He is survived by his wife, Louise and his children, Michael, Katelyn and Dennis II, as well as his beloved Dog, Lily. He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah, wife of the late Bobby Underwood, Linda, wife of George Keel, Bonnie, wife of Mike Duerden, Joyce, wife of Ronnie Mann, Kathy, wife of Ronnie Newton and his brother, David Chinault, husband of Cathy. He is survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Ann, Burbridge and his grandmother-in-law, Lois Stillman, his sister-in-law, Danielle Burbridge, fiancé of David Hills and brother-in-law, Geoffrey Burbridge, husband of Grace. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Moses and Edna Chinault.

There will be a celebration of life in honor of Dennis on Sunday, January 20, at Magnolia Library, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Louise, Michael, Katelyn and Little Dennis,

Words cannot express how much my brother will be missed. He was such a loving person who would do anything for anyone. He was so incredibly loved by everyone. Just know that we are here for all of you. He will be truly missed. Sending hugs and prayers for y’all. Love you!
