Eleanor F.'s Story
Eleanor F. (Jones) Havener, 77, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gloucester on September 3, 1939, daughter of the late Edward Jones and Helen (Lute) Searcy.
Eleanor enjoyed going to yard sales, Foxwoods and especially playing cards with the girls. Later in life, being with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her.
She is survived by three daughters, Annette Rodolosi Perrine, Deborah Pollock and her husband, Barry and Christine Havener, all of Gloucester; two sons, Phillip Michael Havener of Beverly, Joseph Cribbs and his wife, Carolyn of Gloucester; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Thomas Searcy and his wife, Joanne of Gloucester, William “Bill” Searcy and his wife, Glenna of Rockport; a niece, nephew and one great-niece.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester will be held on Sunday, April 9th, from 5 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The burial will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
