Bates Jr. and is survived by her sisters, Evalyn (Terrance) Economy, Penelope (Keith) Packard; her nieces, Luranah (Alasdair) Polson and Leona (Curtis) Strong; her nephew, MacDonald Economy; "adopted" nieces, Leah and Ann Schlesinger; and her much loved grand nephews, Cameron, Duncan and Lachlan Polson, Benjamin, Spencer, Ethan, Isaac and Ammon Strong; TJ and Ryan Economy.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Rockport on Saturday, March 19, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Betsy prefers you donate to the charity of your choice, unless that charity happens to be the Wounded Warriors Project, in which case she would prefer you choose another veteran focused agency while we wait to see how things work out. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester. For online condolences, please visit www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
