DANVERS - Elizabeth Thomas peacefully passed away at Kaplan House in Danvers after a long illness.
She was a Cum Laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College, majoring in Psychology. She spent most of her professional life as a computer programmer specializing in large data storage and retrieval systems.
After retiring, she, her husband, and several cats moved to Gloucester. She became active in the Gloucester Democratic City Committee and was the treasurer for several years. She was also active in the local Skeptics in the Pub and in a delightful play reading group.
She is survived by her stepsisters, Laura Hall and Amy Paul; cousins, Mary Conant Stack and her husband, Robert Stack, Peter and Roberta Conant, their daughters Kerry Conant and Rebecca Conant, Rebecca's husband, Ryan Miller, and their son Sawyer, Steven Conant, Catherine Trembicki and her wife, Jan Corbett, Michael Trembicki, two cats, and her husband, Arthur.
She met many friends here in Gloucester and loved the city.
There are no plans at the moment for a memorial service, but if anyone would like to make a donation in her name, please consider making a contribution to Cape Ann Animal Aid Association.
