WINDHAM, NH: Eloise “Louise” B. (Nickerson) Lewis, 99, of Windham, N.H., died February 6, 2016. Louise was married to Parker D. Lewis for 56 years. He died in 1996.
She was born on the island of Nantucket, Mass., in 1916, the daughter of the late Robert and May Eloise (Bernard) Nickerson. She lived most of her life in Gloucester, until she moved to Derry, and then Windham in 2014.
Louise worked as a cashier at the Strand Theater in Gloucester for six years, and retired from the Gloucester Times as a typesetter after 25 years.
She is survived by one son, Edward, and his wife, Joyce, of Salem, N.H.; two grandsons, Mark Lewis of Nashua, N.H., and Joshua Lewis and his wife, Natalie; and their three daughters, Mackenzie, Jocelyn, and Scarlett, of Littleton, Colo.; step-grandsons, Todd and Andrew Boyd, and their wives and families, of Colorado and Utah.
The family is grateful for the loving care given by the staff of the Warde Health Center and Compassionate Care Hospice.
