Frances "Gina"'s Story

Frances "Gina" (Cilluffo) Brancaleone, 89, wife of the late Capt. Francesco "Paul" Brancaleone of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Terrasini, Sicily, Italy on May 29, 1927, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Grazia (LoGrasso) Cilluffo.
Gina took great pride in everything she did for her family and taking care of her home. She loved cooking, especially her sauce and meatballs for Sunday family dinners. Gina enjoyed celebrating St. Joseph's Day by helping make the pasta, the St. Peter's Fiesta and loved going to Stage Fort Park for the 4th of July.
She was a member of the Mother of Grace Club and the Madonna Del Rosario Society.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Seacoast for the love and care she received. They were like family to her, and she was affectionately known as "Mama B."
She is survived by her daughters, Maria Theriault and her husband, Richard, Grace LeBlanc and her husband, Steven, all of Gloucester; sons, Jack Brancaleone, Joseph Brancaleone and his partner, Joanne, all of Gloucester and Paul Brancaleone and his wife, Rosa of Florida; 12 grandchildren, Eva Favalora and her husband, Joseph, Anthony Orlando, Gina Manley and her husband, Larry, Steven LeBlanc, Jr. and his wife, Melanie, Barbara Buccheri and her husband, Paul, Paul Brancaleone and his wife, Michelle, Jack Brancaleone and his wife, Kelly, all of Gloucester, Paul "P.J." Brancaleone, Nicholas Brancaleone, Daisy Brancaleone and Francesco Brancaleone, all of Florida; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Salvatore Cilluffo of Newburyport; sisters-in-law, Margaret Brancaleone of Sicily, Lois Cilluffo, Paige Cilluffo, and Mary Cilluffo, all of Gloucester; brother-in-law, Giacomo Brancaleone and his wife, Rosa of Sicily; and granddaughter-in-law, Yvonne LeBlanc of Gloucester.
She was predeceased by sisters, Lia Giambanco and Mary Ann Cilluffo; brothers, Lawrence, Anthony Paul and Vito Cilluffo; grandson, Paul LeBlanc; granddaughter, Phyllis Orlando; great-grandson, Michael Rogers; and daughter-in-law, Patrice Brancaleone.
Her funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Wednesday, March 22, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited.
A visitation will be held prior to the Mass on Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
