Francesca P. (Favaloro) Testaverde, 68, wife of Antonino Testaverde of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
She was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy on July 11, 1948, daughter of the late Andrea and Rosa Testaverde.
Francesca worked for Gorton’s of Gloucester for a short time, and later became a certified nurse’s aide and worked for Rainbow’s End doing private duty for Hilda Ayer for 10 years. She truly loved her job taking care of people.
She enjoyed cooking and knitting sweaters for her grandchildren. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Her pride and joy were her five grandchildren.
Francesca will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She brought joy and comfort to those lives that she touched and she loved unconditionally.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Antonino Testaverde of Gloucester; three daughters, Rosalia Testaverde and her companion, William Palmer Jr., Francesca Pallazolla and her husband, Robert and Christina Testaverde, all of Gloucester; two sons, Anthony Testaverde and his wife, Patricia of Raynham and Rosario Testaverde and his wife, Marie of Gloucester; five grandchildren, Stephany Pallazolla, Aliah Palmer, Daniella Pallazolla, Jaden Palmer and Katelynn Testaverde; two sisters, Rosalia Scola and her husband, Joe of Gloucester and Michaela Ferrigno of Biella, Italy; and her brother-in-law, Lorenzo Testaverde and his wife, Rosalie Vitale of Palermo, Italy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Thursday, October 6, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
There will be no visiting hours, and the burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
