GLOUCESTER, MA - Francoise Y. Lemay-Albert, 78, of Gloucester, wife of the late Charles L. Albert, who was the love of her life, passed away at Addison Gilbert Hospital on Friday evening, March 9, 2018, with her loving daughter at her side. Francoise was born in Montreal, Canada, on December 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Philippe and Fernande (Belanger) Lemay. After she received her master's degree in education she taught for 34 years. She traveled the world with her husband and lived in Indonesia for five years while Charles worked for a copper and gold mine there. She lived in New York City two different times and Gloucester most recently. A very outgoing woman, she left her love of life with everyone she met and people responded affectionately towards her. A talented woman, she drew pen and ink drawings as well as painting in the mediums of oil and watercolors. She was an unbelievable seamstress and liked to crochet and knit. Billy Joel was the last concert she attended and Francoise was very fond of Broadway musicals, having seen Hamilton recently. She was a terrific vegetable gardener and spent many hours tending to them. Her cats, a gold tabby Ozzy and a grey tabby Khloe, have noticed she is missing and are very unsettled. They are missing her already. She is survived by her beloved daughter Sophy LeMay; her sister Denyse Lemay-DesMarchais of Montreal, Canada; her grandson Steven and her great-grandsons Landan Wasiewski of Dover, N.H., and Connor Wasiewski of San Antonio, Texas; her step-daughters Nathalie and France Albert of Montreal, Canada. She was predeceased by her brother Jean-Paul Lemay; her son Patrick Coron; and her great-grandson Jamie Wasiewski.
