Frederick "Fred" William's Story
Stuart, FL - Frederick "Fred" William Cunningham, 81, of Stuart, Florida, and resident of Brevard, N.C., passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. He was born May 19, 1936, in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Fred was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1954. He trained as a pilot while in the United States Air Force. Fred worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Pratt Whitney. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the Red Sox. Fred traveled frequently and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially in the mountains and by the sea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Margaret Cunningham. A private celebration of life service will be held later this summer. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Cunningham; daughters, Debbie Vansant and husband, John, and Linda Greaves and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Kyle, Dylan, Melinda, Matt, and Cliff; sister, Jean Stauning; brother-in-law, Don Ojantakanen and wife, Marcia; nieces and nephew, Marci, Cheryl, Brenda, Cheryl, and Craig.
