Gregory S.'s Story
Gregory S. “Greg” Meuse, 47, of Amesbury, formerly of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, May 12, 2016, at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
He was born in Gloucester on January 16, 1969, son of the late Eugene and Muriel (Muise) Meuse.
Greg attended Gloucester High School. In his earlier years, he worked at a few local restaurants as a cook.
He was a great pee wee and freshman football player. He was a big fan of football and could quote statistics for years gone by. He also had a great love for music, especially rock and roll.
Greg will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Sweeney and her husband, John of Amesbury; his brother, James R. “Jim” Meuse of Gloucester; uncle, John B. Muise, husband of the late Marie of Gloucester; his aunt, Dorothy MacGregor and her husband, William of Malden; and his baby, cat Roxy.
He was predeceased by his brother, Eugene R. Meuse Jr.; uncle, Wilfred M. “Tootie” Muise; aunts, Barbara MacLean, Pauline Thompson; and the love of his life, Deanna.
His funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Wednesday, May 18, at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester, at 11 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home are on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
