Howard Lloyd's Story
Howard Lloyd Visnick, 74, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017, in Boston.
He is survived by two sons, Adam Jay and Jacob Heath (Rachel); and five grandchildren, Samuel, Daniel, Samantha, Benjamin, and Maya, all of Florida; as well as many cousins on the North Shore and in Maine. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Anna; and his brother, Allen.
Howard was born in Boston and raised in East Gloucester. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Suffolk University, and Suffolk University Law School. He practiced law in Gloucester for many years before moving to Florida, where he continued to practice in Boca Raton.
His many friends and clients would agree that Howard was smart, quick-witted, adventurous, and always great fun to be with. After moving to Florida, he returned again and again to the Gloucester of his youth, where he so enjoyed the ocean, the beach, and boating. He also liked driving motorcycles and sports cars, and proudly piloted a Cessna 140 airplane for several years. Above all, he loved his sons and grandchildren, who will miss him greatly.
Donations in Howard’s name may be made to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for Thoracic Surgery Fund, Brigham and Women’s Hospital Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 5thFloor, Boston, MA 02116 or online at bwhgiving.org.
