Mr. John F. Gerace, 48, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday evening August 4, 2017, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House with his family at his side. He was the husband to Julie F. (Kerper) Gerace with whom he shared 17 years of marriage.
John was born October 23, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of Mary (Basgallia) Gerace and the late John Gerace. He was a resident of Gloucester for the past nine years and previously resided in Wildwood, N.J. He was brought up and educated in Philadelphia, Pa.
John was a truck driver for many years. He previously worked at Dominos. He worked on the Jersey Shore as a maintenance man repairing arcade games and was also a printer for Aliaba.
In addition to his loving wife, Julie and mother, Mary, John is survived by his step-son, Connor D. Magee of Gloucester; his mother-in-law, Denise Nichols of Buckingham, Pa.; his two brothers, Salvatore Gerace of Blackwood, N.J. and Thomas Gerace of Philadelphia; his two sisters, Lilyann Stowman and Francine Pickel, both of Blackwood, N.J. He is also survived by his blended family, Judith and Michael Magee of Gloucester, as well as many nieces and nephews.
John’s Memorial Service will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private. For online condolences and register book, please visit www.pikenewhall.com.
