Joseph's Story

Mr. Joseph A. Pallazola, 80, of Gloucester, passed away Thursday evening at the Kaplan Family House with his loving family at his side. He was the loving husband to Josephine A. (Danna) Pallazola, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Joe was born October 2, 1936, in Gloucester. He was the son of the late Anthony and Anne (Orlando) Pallazola. Joe was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and attended Gloucester Schools.

He worked for Mighty Mac Dry Cleaning as a presser for many years. Joe also had his own landscaping business for several years.

Joe had a great personality and was always making new friends wherever he went. He was an easy going guy who enjoyed singing, dancing and all kinds of music, even hard rock. He played basketball for many years and coached the Mighty Mac Team. He also raised canaries and tropical fish.

In addition to his loving wife, Josephine, Joe is survived by his children, Joseph A. Pallazola, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Windham, N.H., Mary Testaverde and her husband, Steve of Gloucester and Ann Muise and her husband, Chris of Gloucester; his brother, Anthony “Tony” Pallazola of Gloucester; his sisters, Josephine “Dolly” Galante and her husband, Paul and Marie Giacaloni and her husband, Joe, both of Gloucester. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Alexis Pallazola, Crystal Muise, Steven Testaverde and Christopher Muise as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joe’s Funeral will be from the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Prospect Street, Gloucester at 9:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, West Gloucester.
