Gloucester - Judith A. (Pacheco) Gay, 81, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Care One at Essex Park, Beverly surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gloucester on May 28, 1938, daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (MacDonald) Pacheco.
Judith received her GED from North Shore Community College. She worked for several years as a stitcher at Strong Leather. She was a member of Trinity Congregational Church and was involved in their Bible study group.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and loved to cook, especially baking things from scratch. Keeping the family together was very important to her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Julie A. Wilson of Gloucester; 2 sons, Joel Wilson Jr. and his wife, Maria, Jay Wilson and his wife, Lesia, all of Gloucester; three grandsons, Joel Wilson III, Joshua Wilson and Justin Wilson all of Gloucester; two sisters, Jeanette Jerome of Gloucester, Sylvia Carpenter of New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Pacheco Jr. and her sister, Dorothy Canillas.
Her funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home will be on Monday, July 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. The burial will be held privately. For online condolences, please visit www.greelyfuneralhome.com
