Judith H. (Hansen)'s Story
Judith Hansen Kelley, 79, of Danvers, formerly of Windham, N.H. died Friday, October 20, 2017. She was the widow of William M. Kelley with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.
She was born in Manchester, Conn. on June 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Gladys and Ludwig Hansen. After graduating from Manchester High School (CT) and Bay Path University, she was an administrative assistant at Traveler's Insurance in Hartford, Conn. and worked there until she began her family.
She was always the First Mate on her family's boat, "The Luck of the Irish," and treasured her time with her husband, children, grandchildren, friends and family at their cottage on Little Squam Lake in Holderness, N.H. Her other love was as a member of the Windham Quilters Association where she spent many hours with her quilting friends. For the past two years, Judy has enjoyed her life with many new friends at Brookdale Assisted Living in Danvers.
She is survived by her loving children, Megan Kelley Meek and her husband, David, of Beverly and her son William M. Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Christine of Stratham, N.H.; her beloved grandchildren, Taylor and Spencer Meek and Zachary and Jake Kelley; her cherished grand dogs, Buddy and Cloe; her brother-in-law, Thomas G. Kelley of Manchester, Conn. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, David L. Hansen and sister-in-law, Audrey Hansen; brother-in-law, David R. Kelley and sister-in-law, Jean Kelley; and sister-in-law, Marcia Kelley.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the Trinity Cemetery, 926 New Hampshire Route 175, Holderness, N.H.
