Rockport, Ma. - June (Fears) Roller, 78, beloved wife of Heinz Roller, passed away on May 6, 2018. Born in Gloucester, January 24, 1940, daughter of Margaret (Balzarini) Fears. June, a long-time resident of Rockport, was a 1958 graduate of Rockport High School.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years Heinz Roller, her sister Joan Fitzgerald , her son Stephen and his wife, Barbie and their sons, Kurt and Colt, her son James and his children Miranda, Hadden, and Matt, granddaughter Jordan Roller, daughter of the late Ronald Roller, and grandson - by-love Matt Vecchione Kovalchuk, close relatives and friends.
June was predeceased by her mother, Margaret (Nanny) Fears, sisters Jean Rodgers and Judith Scholler, son, Ronald Roller, her mother- and father- in - law Frida and Kurt Roller, and her best friend, Pat Fritz.
Over the years June worked at Rockport National Bank, Todd Oil and Roller Construction. June was a loving daughter and had a special friendship with her mom Nanny. She looked forward to her weekly hair appointments with Nanny to Shirley's. She also loved chatting with her while soaking up the sun. She always referred to her sisters and herself as "The Four J's". June loved camping in N. Conway with Heinz, family, and friends. She adored her grandchildren and took great joy spending time with them, enjoying many sleepovers at grandma's house where "what happens at grandma's house stays at grandma's house." She put on the best annual Christmas parties, enjoyed trips to Maine, boating, fishing, and catching frogs with her grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Holy Family Parish 62 Broadway, Rockport, MA at 9:30 a.m. Coalition will follow at Rockport Inn & Suites, 183 Main St. Rockport.
