GLOUCESTER - Justin David Harrington, 27, of Gloucester, passed away from an unfortunate construction accident on January 18, 2018. Justin was born in Beverly on January 3, 1991, the son of Rena (Roberts) Harrington and Paul L. Harrington. He graduated from Gloucester High School in 2009, and continued on to earn a degree in Automotive work at UTI in Norwood, Mass. in 2011. His aspirations were to gain more expertise in hoisting, furthering his passion in construction and learning everything he can to better his life and everyone's life around him. Justin was a passionate, humble man and was well versed in football (as with most sports), but would consider himself a loyal member of Pats Nation. He loved spending his free time chefing it up in the sun at the beach, enjoying a nice meal with his family and friends, or hiking through the woods with his dogs, Kai and Koda. In the winter his weekends were booked with where he would be snowboarding next, unless it interfered with his beloved Patriots, of course. Then you'd catch him with his Pats hat, shirt and a Budweiser. Justin impacted many souls on this earth, and he will be dearly missed by his endless amounts of friends and loved ones, who will cherish his memory. Many that were closest with him knew they always had his shoulder to cry on and he would make you laugh, and always encourage you to never give up.
He is survived by his mother Rena, and his father Paul, his companion Samantha Klyce, his grandfather Lincoln Roberts, his brothers, Paul Harrington Jr., Jeremy Harrington; and his sister Laura Harrington; his aunts Beth Roberts, Sara Roberts, Patricia Harrington, his uncles Kevin Harrington, Nelson Harrington, and Bob Gillis as well as beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Sally Roberts and Nancy Harrington and his grandfather, Lee Harrington.
His visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. His service will be held on Thursday, January 25, in the West Gloucester Trinitarian Congregational Church at 88 Essex Ave., Gloucester at 11:30 a.m. Following his service, a reception will be held at the Amvets at 14 Prospect St. Gloucester, starting at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Ln., Gloucester, MA 01930. Online condolences may be given at: www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
