GLOUCESTER, MA - Lorraine B. (Cluett) Rudolph, 86, of Gloucester, wife of John R. Rudolph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gloucester on August 22, 1931, daughter of the late Hubert Sr. and Beulah (Mitchell) Cluett.
Lorraine was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1951. She worked for over 35 years at Stop & Shop as a cashier. Throughout the years, Lorraine was well known to many of the shoppers.
She loved to knit, watch her favorite TV shows, and most of all, spoil her husband. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, to Quebec, Montreal, Washington D.C., New York City, and Vermont.
Lorraine always was involved in her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephew's lives. She was always interested in what they were up to and she never missed a birthday or an event. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John R. Rudolph of Gloucester; her sister, Geraldine Nichols and her husband Lionel of Florida; brothers, Ronald Cluett and his wife Susan of Gloucester, Hubert Cluett Jr. and his wife Ginger of Barnstable; nieces and nephews, Nick Mackey and his wife Carolyn, Lynne Young, Nichole Evans and her husband Ed, Jeannie Lyons, Jeff Mackey and his partner Paul, Caryn Brancaleone and her husband Paul, Chris Cluett and his wife Kelly, Catherine Bergeron and her husband Chris, Robbie Cluett, Robyn Marchessault and her husband Steve of Barnstable; many great-nieces and -nephews; brothers-in-law, Clarence "Rudy" Rudolph and his wife Mary Jane and family, Archie Rudolph and his wife Phyllis and family, Levi Rudolph and his wife Lorraine and family.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Friday, March 9, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
A visitation will be held prior to the Mass in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
