Margaret Mary Pallazola
January 06, 1941 - December 04, 2017
Margaret Mary Pallazola (Peggy) 76, wife of the late Cosmo B. Pallazola, of Manchester-by-the Sea, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Beverly on January 6, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elisabeth (Silva) Cagney. Following high school, Peggy went to Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene, where she graduated and became a dental hygienist. Peggy's favorite hobby was playing bridge and she was a lifetime master player. Yet, Peggy's greatest joys came from her family. She could always be found in the stands cheering on her sons and grandchildren and she was undoubtedly their number one sports fan. She also enjoyed traveling with Cosmo to Foxwoods and to St. Maarten, which they did together for over 30 years. But most importantly, Peggy made her house warm and welcoming to anyone who came to visit. Most Sunday afternoons, family and friends could be found gathered around her dinner table, playing cards and enjoying her wonderful cooking. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her 3 sons, Thomas Pallazola and his wife, Noel, Joseph Pallazola and his wife, Grace, all of Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Cosmo M. Pallazola and his wife, Meghan of Dover, N.H.; grandchildren, Sabrina Pallazola, Cosmo R. Pallazola, Sophia Pallazola, Cagney Pallazola, AJ Pallazola, Egan Pallazola and CJ Pallazola; a sister-in-law, Delores Cagney of Beverly; two goddaughters, Kim Gendron and Lee-ann Willwerth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice Cagney. There are no visiting hours. Her Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA. Family and friends are cordially invited. Her burial will take place in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Manchester-by-the-Sea following Mass. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, MA.
