Margaret Rose (French) Perrin, age 76, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her family from complications of lifelong Asthma. She was the beloved wife of Ronald George Perrin.
Born in Charlestown, Mass., on November 27 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Carroll) French. Peggy, as she was affectionately known, moved with her family to the Bayview neighborhood of Gloucester when she was 13 years old. She was a member of the St. Ann’s and Our Lady of Good Voyage Churches. She enjoyed her many years as a choir member at Our Lady’s and was a member of the Lady’s Guild.

Peggy graduated from Gloucester High School, Class of 1958 and was a Sawyer Medal recipient. She then attended the Salem Hospital School of Nursing. Family responsibilities took her away from nursing school, but she remained a health care resource for her family and friends.
Peggy held various jobs throughout her life but will be remembered most for her many loyal years at Connor’s Pharmacy.

Peggy loved spending time with her and her husband’s large extended family. She also liked camping, hiking, traveling, gardening and reading. Peggy will always be remembered for being a family resource for any kind of advice from taxes to pharmaceuticals and her summertime squash casserole.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald and their three children, Lisa Hollis and her husband, Steve of Beverly, Stephen Perrin and his wife, Dominique of Lyon, France and Gloucester, and Ronald Perrin, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Brian, Justin, June-Allison and Elliot Perrin and Andrew, Russell and Melissa Hollis; and her great-granddaughter, Zoe Perrin.

Peg is also survived by her siblings, Maureen Hodgkins, Helena and her husband, Jim Creamer and Mark and his wife, Shirley French; a sister-in-law, Mary Jo French and brothers-in-law, William O’Connor and Chris Bethune. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carol O’Connor, Kathleen Ciramitaro, Alice Bethune, Gerald French and Kevin French and brother-in-law Peter Hodgkins. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Peg will be deeply missed.
