NEW PORT RICHEY, FL - Marilyn M. (Tarr) McNeill, 91, passed away peacefully at home in New Port Richey, Fla., on February 26, 2018. She was the wife of the late Alvin L. McNeill.
Born in Gloucester, Mass., on June 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Abigail (Wonson) Tarr.
Marilyn was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1943. Shortly after graduation she worked for the telephone company, and later, for her father at the Cape Ann Ticket & Label Co.
Marilyn wore a beautiful smile, enjoyed life, and lived it to the fullest. She was a devoted mother and was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping across the country with her loving husband, Al. They were both members of the Living Word Church of New Port Richey, Fla.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Charles McNeill and wife Linda of Fairlee, Vt., Cheryl Fausak of Holiday, Fla., Alvin McNeill of Lempster, N.H., Herbert Woodington and wife Cate of New Port Richey, Fla., Marilyn Bonnie Marchant of Orefield, Pa.; daughter-in-law Deborah McNeill of Derry N.H.; and brother Kenneth Tarr and wife Barbara of Gloucester, Mass. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Kenneth Tobie McNeill; son-in-law Joseph G. Marchant; daughter-in-law Dorothy McNeill; brother Richard W. Tarr; and grandson Charles Casale II.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
