GLOUCESTER: Mary R. (Parisi) Pizzimenti, 83, of Gloucester, wife of the late Vincent P. Pizzimenti, passed away at the Den Mar Health & Rehabilitation Center in Rockport on Wednesday afternoon, December 23, 2015. She was born in Gloucester, on June 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Antonio and Caterina (Brancaleone) Parisi. She enjoyed learning and went on in life to receive both her real estate and broker's licenses. She worked as a real estate broker for Joan Oliver and Century 21, where she earned her way into the Million Dollar Club on more than one occasion. She was a multi-talented lady and a true lover of life. The Elks, the Vittori-Rocci Post and any other function that had a dancing venue would bring a smile to Mary and Vincent’s faces and they would be there with their dancing shoes on. Mary loved to travel, Hawaii, Portugal, Italy, Australia and Florida were just a few of the locations she visited. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved socializing with her many friends. Mary and Vincent were faithful fans of their grandsons' sporting events always cheering them on. She was a member of the Cape Ann Marina where she swam every day. She played cards, bingo and belonged to cribbage clubs as well. Never idle, she had belonged to the Madonna Del Rosario Society, the St. Peter’s Women’s Auxillary, the Holy Family Women’s Guild and the Fishermen’s Wives Assoc. She loved the Fiesta. Her husband carried the St. Peter Statue for 33 years and she was also very active in the Fiesta activities. She took time to herself by walking on Gloucester beaches and her beloved boulevard. Mary was a well loved and respected lady and she will be lovingly missed. She is survived by her 3 sons, Salvatore “Sam ”Pizzimenti and his wife, Mary of Gloucester, Anthony P. Pizzimenti and his wife, Linda of Rockport, and Vincent P. Pizzimenti and his wife, Dolly; one sister, Rosalie, wife of the late Joseph Laiachino of Gloucester; four grandchildren, Vincent Pizzimenti and his wife, Alexandra, Daniel Pizzimenti, Anthony Pizzimenti and his wife, Nicole Nicholas Pizzimenti and his wife, Nicole, all of Gloucester and a sister-in-law, Paige Parisi of Florida as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent, brothers, Joseph Parisi, Thomas Parisi and his wife, Mary; her sister, Lucy Favazza and husband, Carlo.

Her funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church, Prospect St., Gloucester. Family and friends are cordially invited. Her visiting hours are on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
