Michael V. Magee Gloucester - Mr. Michael V. Magee, 64, of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday morning, September 2, 2018, at home with his loving family at his side. He is the husband of Judith E. (Mountain) Magee with whom he shared 38 years of marriage and 40 years of a loving relationship.
Michael was born September 18, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pa. He is the son of the late Edwin Stewart Michael Magee and Marion (Turner) Magee. He and Judith have resided in Gloucester for the past 17 years, they previously resided in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a graduate of Eddison High School, class of 1972.
Michael was a United States Navy veteran and held the rank of Petty Officer. He began his career with the Navy as a Machinist and was also a Navy Firefighter and taught firefighting.
He worked as a Machinist and Lay Operator for Pennwalt for 28 years until his retirement. After his retirement Michael worked for CADA for many years.
Michael was a former Volunteer firefighter in Roslyn, Pa. He was a volunteer in the Gifts Shop at Addison Gilbert Hospital, he received his 500-hour volunteer pin in 2017. Michael enjoyed meeting and talking with people. He enjoyed working on computers, and being out and about with people.
In addition to his loving wife Judith, Michael is survived by his son Matthew D. Magee and his wife Nicole of Gloucester; his daughter Robbin Lawless and her husband Craig of Minneapolis, Minn.; his sister Linda Hartman of Northeast, Md.; his brother Harry Magee and his wife Nancy of Willow Grove, Pa. His two cherished grandchildren, Connor Duncan Magee and Kevin Sean Muise. He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law Julie Gerace; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and father, Michael is predeceased by his brother Edwin Magee.

Michael’s visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester, on Wednesday evening, September 5, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant St., Gloucester, on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will following Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, West Gloucester.
