Gloucester - Mossimo "Tom" Ballarin, passed away suddenly at the age of 96. Mossimo was born in Venice, Italy, in 1923, the son of Dosolina (Vianello) Ballarin and Alfredo Ballarin. He leaves behind three sisters, Liliana Silvanio, Mara Ballarin and Elsa Ballarin; and two brothers, Antonio Ballarin and Carlo Ballarin.
Mossimo lived an adventurous life, traveling from Italy to the United States as a young man, where he met the love of his life and wife Margaret (Filetto) Ballarin.
He spent most of his life fishing on Gloucester's waterfront to support his family, including, two children, Alfred Ballarin and Rosalind (Bllarin) Agostini. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Raquel Agostini and Shara Agostini; one great-grandchild, Miakoda Agostini; and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

His funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish (St. Ann's Church), 74 Pleasant Street, Gloucester, on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m.
