Muriel P.'s Story
Muriel P. (Lumbard) Feener, 92, wife of Eugene H. Feener,of Essex, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 30, 2016 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Gloucester on September 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Doucette) Lumbard.
Muriel was a graduate of Gloucester of High School. She had worked at Brown’s Market in Manchester, Woolworth’s and Mal’s in Gloucester and was a waitress at the former Howard Johnson’s in Beverly.
Muriel was very devout in her faith and to her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren and especially enjoyed her time with them during the holidays.
In addition to her husband, Eugene, she is survived by her sons, Ronald Feener and his companion, Brenda Harrell, Brian Feener and his wife, Nancy, both of Essex; grandchildren, David Feener and his wife, Mary, Douglas Feener and his wife, Kerrie-Lyn, and Jessica Feener; great-grandchildren, Kathleen Madison Feener, Tyler Feener, and Travis Feener.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Carlton, Gilbert, Richard and George Lumbard Jr.; her sister, Dorothy Williams; and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Mary (O’Neill) Feener.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 5th at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church Essex. Extended family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Spring Street Cemetery, Essex.
There are no visiting hours.
