Patricia's Story

GLOUCESTER, MA - Mrs. Patricia M. (Farnsworth) Leverich, 82, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas H. Leverich.
Patricia was born September 18, 1935, in Claremont, N.H. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Battice) Farnsworth. She lived in Gloucester for most of her life.
Patricia worked as a utility worker at Gortons for over 30 years until her retirement in 2000. She previously worked on the Gloucester Waterfront.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandson and her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, watching movies, playing cards and her trips to the casino and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Theresa Roberts and Patricia Saunders and her husband, Frank, all of Gloucester. She was the sister to Dorothy "Irma" Donzello of Florida, Beverly "Joyce" Brittian of Florida and Henry Farnsworth and his wife, Dora of Lancaster, N.H. She will be missed by her four treasured grandchildren, Ryan Roberts, Sean Roberts, Matthew Leverich and Teala Bailey; her great-grandson, Owen Roberts; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia was predeceased her son, Thomas H. Leverich, Jr.; her brother, Harold "Jim" Battice; and her sisters, Margaret Moore and Betty Ann Spoon.
Patricia's Graveside Service will be in Calvary Cemetery, Eastern Avenue, Gloucester, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In honoring with Patricia's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
