Peter J. Foster Manchester by the Sea - Peter J Foster, 74 of Manchester by-the-Sea passed away Thursday morning, July 26 at home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Cool) Foster.
Peter was born on March 14, 1944 to the late J. Borden and Elizabeth (Curran) Foster. He was raised and lived his entire life in Manchester. Pete enjoyed most of all spending time with his step grandchildren, Anton and Ellen Gilson. He loved traveling, fishing, reading and sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a member of Gloucester Lodge 892 BPO Elks and a life long member of The Manchester Club. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Ellen Foster, stepsons John Gilson of Essex, Jeffrey Gilson and his wife Pavlina Gilson of Manchester by-the-Sea. His stepgrandson, Anton Gilson and stepgranddaughter, Ellen Gilson, sister-in-law, Jackie McDiarmid, brother-in-law, Douglas Cool, three nephews and one niece.
