Priscilla J.'s Story
Mrs. Priscilla J. (Gray) Delaney, 89, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Den Mar Health and Rehabilitation.
Priscilla was born on July 13, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Valora Gray. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.
Priscilla worked in the fresh fish seafood industry on the Gloucester waterfront for several years.
She led a simple life and enjoyed taking care of her family. Priscilla was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone who might need something.
Priscilla is survived by three sons, Ronald Delaney of Gloucester; Kenneth Delaney of Gloucester; and George Delaney of No. Hampton, Mass. She is also survived by her sister, Elma Lane; as well as many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Cindy Brewer.
Priscilla was predeceased by her three daughters, Kathy A. Chambers; Allison L. Delaney; and Jean L. Delaney Amistadi; and her sisters, Adelle Pecunis, Pauline Hanson, Agnes Gray, Lucille Muise and Alice Muise; and her brothers, Buddy and George Gray.
Priscilla will be remembered fondly by the caring staff and friends at the Den Mar Nursing Home.
Priscilla’s funeral service will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
