Priscilla Jean (Mack)'s Story
Priscilla Jean (Mack) McKinnon, age 92 years, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Kaplan Family hospice house, Danvers. She was wife of the late Retired Commander John D. “Jack’ McKinnon. She was born February 7, 1924 to the late William A. and Bertha M. (Johnson) Mack. She graduated from Gloucester High School, Class of 1942.
She married Jack December 2, 1950 and moved to San Diego, Calif. where her husband was stationed and traveled to Subic Bay Republic of the Philippines outside of the United States and San Juan, Puerto Rico. As a Naval wife, she did volunteer work and supported her husband’s career. After retiring they still traveled to many retiree’s functions, dinners out with Buddy to the Anchor in Beverly was her favorite eatery where they met new friends and enjoyed lively conversations.
She is survived by a son, George H. “Buddy” McKinnon of Beverly; a daughter, Jaqueline D. ‘Jackie” Morin and her husband, Paul of Gardner; two sisters, Virginia Mack of Gloucester and Willa Apt of Gloucester and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Barbara Cyr, Lillian Bartnicki and Constance Leary.
Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Monday, June 13, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
