Richard "Dick"'s Story
Richard Foley died July 31, at the age of 77. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane, in their 50th year together; a daughter, Robin; a son, Rich (Stefani); a grandson, Dillon; sisters, Barbara (Bob), Mary (Tom); a brother, Paul; Diane's five sisters and four brothers; and many nephews, nieces and dear friends.
Dick was born and raised in Gloucester, a graduate of Norwich University, a decorated Army Captain who also worked for the FBI for 23 years. He was an avid reader who enjoyed classical music, long walks with friends, gardening, and taking and teaching classes at the Osher Institute.
Family, friends and colleagues are warmly invited to a celebration of Dick's life at Woodcliff Hotel, Fairport, N.Y., Sunday, August 7, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Rochester Palliative Care Program, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 687, Rochester, NY 14642.
