Mr. Richard E. Quinn, 70, of Essex, formerly of Clifton Heights, Pa., passed away on July 12, 2017, after a short illness.
Richard was born November 4, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late John J. and Alberta L. (Brown) Quinn. He was a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Tenn.
He was a United State Airforce veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Richard worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for many years until his retirement. After retiring he worked at Ebsco Publishing for several years.
Rick was an avid collector of books, classical music and old movies.
He is survived by his sister, Dianne Hunger and her husband, Bud; his nephews, Buddy and Andrew Hunger; a niece, Melissa Cavanaugh; six great-nephews, and many cousins. Richard was also blessed with some very special friends, many of whom were fellow members of his Church.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Union Congregational Church, 3 Norman Ave., Magnolia, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick’s memory may be made to the Union Congregational Church.
