Robert W.'s Story

Robert W. Beauparlant, 75, of Gloucester, husband of Beverly A. (Melanson) Beauparlant for the last 54 years, passed away on October 24, 2016, after a lengthy illness. Bob, an army veteran and retired Gloucester police officer, had several successful business ventures on the North Shore, and through the years was a commercial fisherman, longshoreman, truck driver, bartender at the Greenie, and valet at Cruiseport. He was a past president for both the Gloucester Police Association and the Gloucester Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his son, Robert Jr.; his daughter, Nicole and her companion, Charles Allen; his son, David and his wife, Annemarie; his grandchildren, David Jr. and Hannah; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his five brothers, Buster, Teddy, Jimmy, Joey, and Hank; and two nephews, Buster, Jr. and Charlie.
Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, on Friday morning, October 28, 2016, from 9 to 11 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited. His burial will take place immediately following the visiting hours in Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln Street, West Gloucester. Online condolences may be given at www.greelyfuneralhome.com.
