Roberta A.'s Story

Roberta A. (Riley) Seppala, 68, wife of the late Gary W. Seppala of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gloucester on June 24, 1949, daughter of the late Robert P. and Dorothy A. (Day) Riley. Roberta was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1967. She was employed for many years at Rule Industries as an assembler.
She very much enjoyed travelling to the Bahamas with friends and relaxing on the beach. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, who meant the world to her especially the new arrival of granddaughter Naomi who she affectionately called Ittyboo.
Roberta will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Kirsten Seppala and her boyfriend, Mark Mohatoo of Revere, Amy Lamoureux and her husband Eric of Gloucester, Darrell Seppala and his wife JoAnn of Ipswich; grandchildren, Julia and Emma Lamoureux, Naomi and Kyllian Mohatoo, Michael and Benjamin Darisse; sisters, Donna Mateus and her husband Herb of Virginia Beach, Va., Patty Thibodeau and her husband, Mike of Gloucester; brothers, Paul Riley and his wife, Nancy, Don Riley and his wife, Joanne all of Gloucester; special aunt, Patricia Riley; sisters-in-law, Denise Dragonas and her husband, Dennis of Danvers, Georgia Bussell of Ohio; her good friend, Theresa McIntosh of Gloucester and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Tuesday, July 25, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held in Seaside Cemetery, Gloucester.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
