Rosalie A. "Rolly"'s Story
Rosalie A. “Rolly” (Parisi) Frontiera, 73, wife of the late Leonard M. Frontiera of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Beverly Hospital after a brief illness with her loving family by her side.
Born in Gloucester on October 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Ciarametaro) Parisi. Rolly was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1961.
She was a devoted loving wife, mother, and nana. Her grandson, Ian Nicholas Zink, was her world. She helped care for him from the day he was born.
If it was sunny and warm enough, you could find Rolly down the Fort with her cousins sitting on Pavilion Beach. She just loved the beach. She loved playing bingo and trips to the casino. She was an avid bowler and ran the Coffee Cup League. She was a huge fan of the Red Sox. Through the years, she owned or managed various gift shops in Rockport. She also worked for Dunkin Donuts as manager of the Essex, Rockport, and Manchester stores until she retired.
She is survived by her three children, Nicholas J. Frontiera and his wife, Deborah (Limoli) Frontiera of Las Vegas, Glenda A. (Frontiera) Zink and her husband, Wayne M. Zink and their son, Ian N. Zink of Gloucester, and Luke T. Frontiera of Gloucester; her sisters-in-law, Mary Bruckner of Calif., and Irene Frontiera of Floria; special cousins, Christine E. Ciarametaro and Roberta Peterson of Gloucester; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her Funeral Service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Friday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Her burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
