GLOUCESTER, MA - Sara Jean (Pallazola) Tarr, 50, passed away at Addison Gilbert Hospital on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Born in Gloucester on November 26, 1967, she was the daughter of Grace R. (Catania) Veerman of Gloucester and Joseph J. Pallazola of San Diego.
Sara Jean was most recently employed as a full-time home care caregiver for Viability and North Shore Foster Care. Prior to that, she had worked at the Ocean View Inn and several other Gloucester restaurants as a hostess. Sara Jean was also enrolled this year in the ARC program for the CNA license.
Sara Jean was well-known as a loving and supportive person to her family and many friends. She was a wonderful cook and talented at making a house a home. She loved to travel. She was especially dedicated to her daughter, Alicia; her mother, Grace; her brother, Chris; and her cat, Baby Cat. Sara Jean's compassionate ways, her sense of humor, and her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Grace and Joseph, Sara Jean is survived by her daughter, Alicia M. Tarr of Deltona, Fla.; her sister, Lucy "LuAnn" Pallazola of Gloucester; her brothers, Gaspar "Gap" Pallazola and wife, Patricia of Ipswich, Michael Pallazola and wife, Patricia of Gloucester, and Christopher Pallazola, also of Gloucester. She is also survived by her daughter's father, Scott Tarr of Danvers. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sara Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Peter P. Pallazola and Joseph J. Pallazola, Jr.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church on December 20 at 11 a.m. Extended family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
