Sarah R. (Sabato) Interrante Gloucester - Mrs. Sarah R. (Sabato) Interrante, 78, of Gloucester passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at home with her loving family at her side. She is the wife of Gasper Interrante, Jr. with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Sarah was born February 12, 1940 in Gloucester, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Favaloro) Sabato. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of Gloucester High School Class of 1958.
Sarah worked as an Operator for the former New England Telephone Company for many years. She later was part owner of Captains Lodge Coffee Shop in Gloucester.
She treasured the time she spent with her family especially her loving grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes were her trips to Foxwoods and her annual trip to Aruba.
In addition to her loving husband Gasper, Sarah is survived by her daughter Michele Cooper and her husband Robert of Gloucester, her brother, Leo Sabato and his wife Rosalie, her sisters Katy Ciolino and her husband, Sam and Lena Anderson who was also Sarah’s loving caregiver all of Gloucester. Her cherished grandchildren Kaya, Cammi and Cade Cooper and Jesse Interrante. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews including Christine Anderson of Gloucester who spent many nights caring for Sarah at the end of her illness.
In addition to her mother and father, Sarah is predeceased by her two sons Gasper Interrante, III and Francis J. “Frankie” Interrante.
Sarah’s visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St Gloucester on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m. Her Graveside Service will be immediately following in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
