Sarah Myers's Story
Sarah Myers Lagrassa, age 32 years, wife of Nick Lagrassa, passed away this morning, Wednesday, July 20, 2016, about 8 a.m., at the Kaplan Hospice Family House in Danvers.
She fought to live life to the very end. Last Saturday, with strength we can’t fathom, she rallied and left Mass General to celebrate publicly her marriage to Nick with about 100 of her family and friends, radiating the beauty we loved.
Born in Cambridge to Reverend David and Deborah (Renfro) Myers of Gloucester, she graduated Andover High School, Class of 2002, and attended Mt. Ida College. She later became a certified esthetician.
Sarah enjoyed cooking meals for her husband, Nick and she loved every moment spent with her two beautiful girls, doing Olivia's hair and pinching Ava's little baby butt. Sarah enjoyed working as an esthetician and even more, sharing her knowledge and fondness of beauty products with anyone that would lend her an ear. In the end, strength defines who she was.
Surviving her in addition to her husband and parents are two daughters, Olivia K. and Ava M. Lagrassa; a brother, Nathan C. Myers of Gloucester; a mother-in-law, Lisa A. (Herrick) Lagrassa of Manchester-by-the-Sea; a father-in-law, John J. Lagrassa and his wife, Dawn of Danvers and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Hamilton, 391 Bay Rd, Hamilton, MA 01982 on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made in her name to MGH Cancer Center, Dr. Inga Lennes Research Fund, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.
