GLOUCESTER, MA - Seraphina (Palazzolo) Cranston, 78, died on February 19, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Bernie Cranston. They shared 48 years of marriage. She was born in Gloucester on September 11, 1939, the daughter of the late Clemente and Philippa (Nicastro) Palazzolo. She was a lifelong resident of the Fort Square section of Gloucester. She leaves her loving daughters, Sherri Fanning and her husband, Dave, Kym Skidmore and her husband, Chuck; stepdaughter, Elaine Alleluia and her husband, Paul; her loving sons, Steven Cranston and his partner, Petra, and Scott Cranston and his wife, Christina. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, David, Jeremy, Stephen, Cole, Sienna, Taylor, Jake; and her first great-grandchild Aiden; many nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She is survived by her two brothers, Cliffy Palazzola and his wife, Dale, and Jerry Pallazolla and his wife, Betty. She was predeceased by her sister, Mamie Dimock, brothers, Jimmy and Carlo (Sleepy) Pallazola, and an infant sister.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, MA. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at St Ann's Church, Pleasant Street, Gloucester, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
