GLOUCESTER - Stephen B. Pina, 66, of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Lahey Clinic Hospital, Burlington.
He was born in Gloucester on March 13, 1951, son of the late Henry B. and Elaine N. (Wagner) Pina.
Stephen was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1969. He attended North Shore Community College and later graduated from the New England College of Art with an Associate's degree in Interior Design.
After graduating from the New England College of Art, he started working at North Shore Furniture on Main Street as a salesman and upholsterer for over 16 years. He later worked for over 25 years at Gorton's of Gloucester much of that time as a production line worker.
Stephen took great pride in the upkeep of his home, had quite the green thumb, who had an eye for color in all he did. He even won the Best Garden Award for his grand-parents front yard garden. He was an avid reader, loved listening to music and was a movie fanatic.
Throughout his life, he was always a loving caregiver to his grandparents and his mother. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, Henry B. Pina of Gloucester; his nephew, Christian B. Pina of Las Vegas; his Godson, Christopher Koller of Gloucester and special friends, Dawn Koller and Diane Sperry both of Gloucester.
His funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
