Rockport - Thomas B. Ives, 32, of Rockport passed away suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2018 at home.
Tom was born June 8, 1985 in Boston. He is the son of Victoria (Williams) Dinatale and her husband William of Avon and Benjamin P. Ives of Gloucester. Tom was a resident of Rockport for several years and previously resided in Gloucester. As a student, he attended St. Mel’s, St. Ann’s and Gloucester High School.
He worked for Steve Jamieson and previously was a DC Commercial Fisherman working out of Gloucester and New Bedford.
Tom loved his son, Joshua, more than anything. They spent treasured time together playing catch and many other activities. He was a smart and opinioned person. He had a strong personality and a great sense of humor that will be missed by all who knew him. He truly enjoyed growing up on the Annisquam River, sailing and playing his guitar. He loved listening to music, fishing, walking in the woods and being in nature. He always held a special place in his heart for his Pug dog’s.
In addition to his mother and father, Tom is survived by his cherished son Joshua Ives and his mother, Stephanie Hendricks of Gloucester. He is also survived by his pug dog, Bella. As well, he is survived by many aunts, uncles and great cousins that he grew up with.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Anne Ives and Neil Williams and Helen Hart.
Tom’s visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St. Gloucester on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held privately. For online condolences and register book please visit www.pikenewhall.com.
